I agree with what you say about pillar dong way to little damage to an arial but sometimes that happens. It's just a bad roll of the dice. I was in Shadar with 2 paladins once, all of us had weapons that either had a wrath attack or divine power attack, and we just went around slaughterine everything. We came accross one, though, that we walked into the room, it attacked a paladin, I turned undead and missed, fled, came back and turned again and scratched it. The all the while the paladins doing heavenly wrath and UNSPEAKs. Sometimes you just get a bad roll on the damage dice. It's pathetic, but it happens.
