You're right. I have not looked at the code for the rager powers.

But you know what? I dont have to. Because I've lived against them for a few houndred hours now.

Say what you want, the fact remains: Not once, not once, in all my fights against ragers of equal or greater level, did a single area spell go through. Not once. I'm sorry you feel you need to post that we all don't know enough, lack knowledge, whatever, but I did it. Emperically. Maybe I was so statistically unluckly it is unblievable, but the fact of it remains. And it's not like I avoided fights all the time, or didn't fight these guys.

I'm sorry thror, but that's just the way it is. All, All, of my spells were spellbaned. When theyweren't, they didn't have bloodthirst or spellbane up, and I could tell, because the next round they did put it up and I could see the echo.

As for getting things, you are right, they are mostly find-able. But it takes time. Alot of time. And it takes time to keep a stock of them. And since the barrier ones, the most valuable/useful ones, are limited (cannot be put in sacks) you cant carry more than a few around and must constantly be getting more.

And since the battleragers are players who know the location, they like to "pretend" they were just there by chance, knwoing full well that the hero mages are going to be there and so they attack there. (But that's another issue again, the roleplaying these days, and I'll avoid that in this post.) Simply knowing where they are is only half the battle. And even the ones that you dont need to fight anything to get, are set on a different clock from other things in an area, they don't repop as quickly. I'd say they are on a 2x timer. It takes twice as long for the wands and such to repop. So you have to hang around, or leave and go do things and come back much later, but then you only have one, etc, etc, etc.

I'm not saying all that is wrong. I think it should be more than just a simple thing to get it all. But it *is* hard in time investment, and it is a constant thing. Don't minimize it.
