Dyston, you seem like a reasonable guy. You probably haven't seen what goes on here. Literally 4 sylvans sit at the large X and _do not leave_. We are talking 1-2 hour sits here. If nobody will come, they won't go see if the forests are okay, they will sit there. They'll attack anyone who's evil in general, or maybe just anyone. Now, this is annoying to me for 2 reasons:
a) Sylvan powers are way overpowered, but this is balanced on the fact that they're supposed to be used in forests. Warders are supposed to stay in FORESTS.
b) The large X is not a freaking forest. Dwarf forest, okay, fine. Large crossroads? Hell no.
This is extremely lame, because what it is in effect saying is that you can have 4 people sit on the main juncture if you want to go to Empire/Battle, be completely undetectable, get the first shot on you due to thorn lag, make you unteleportable/wordable, etc etc. Plus due to the 35 new dwarven shamans, they can summon your ass while cham'd. Lovely.
The general point of this rant was that Sylvan powers are way too powerful, but this had always been balanced by the fact that you stay away from the forests and they don't usually have a problem/ability to fuck you up. Sylvan powers, IMO, need to work _only_ in a _real_ forest, as would seem to (obviously) befit the sylvans.
