On my pre-CF-mud gold was, as here, plentyfull. Never the less, was it often posible to buy good items. Why ?
1) Few knew where the good items were. That meant they could sell the spare eq, which was often very nice.
2) Prices on Potions was enormus.
3) You could buy 'id'-scrolls for a price. That was the single biggest expence for all people.
