There's more important things in life than getting a perfect character. In the time you spent trying to get that extra point or two on your stats, many people could have gotten a character levelled into it's 20's. I, personally, have played atleast 60 characters over 10th level (11 of which heroed), and not a single one of them had anything resembling perfect stats when they started. And you know what? It didn't matter one bit. The character I let go with the worst stats (like 75 total for a human, not including chr) actually ended up being my most successful one ever, pk-wise. As long as you make good use of gain converts, there's no reason why any character you accept shouldn't be up to good standing in con, wis, and int by 10th level... what you are describing is obsessiveness about something that simply has no real effect in the game over the life of the character.
