There are a lot of medieval/fantasy movies out there, but unfortunately, 90% of them suck.

Like Gathen said, see Excalibur.

Flesh + Blood (an extremely hardcore movie about a group of mercenaries in the time of the black plague...RENT IT!)

The Blood of Heroes (post apocalyptic, but the times have reverted to be somewhat medieval)

Braveheart

The 13th Warrior (probably still at a cheap theatre near you).

The first Beastmaster movie was tolerable.

Dragonslayer was pretty dark for a disney movie.

Ladyhawk (I have problems with Matthew Broderick, but the movie good anyway)

Krull (I want the Glaive in CF!!)

The Princess Bride (for the fencing..right)

Of course, there's the whole japanese angle:

Rashomon (spelling?)
The Seven Samurai
Throne of Blood

Short list...depressing, isn't it. I hope someone else can add what I can't remember or haven't seen.
