> > This has been kicked as many times as a football in a game between teams that can't get a first down, but is stat rolling really necessary? > yes. (In his best whiny voice) But WHY? Seriously though, couldn't we just have a set number of points for any given race/class combo (i.e. felar warriors get x number of points, elven invokers get a different number, etc) and distribute them how we (ie. players) wanted to? It takes out the frustration of rolling, and still requires players to think about their character. Just a suggestion. > > Is it necessary that I have to type 'n'(or let my roller do it as is the case with many) for stats totalling 50 when the max rollable is 90? > heaven forbid you have to spend time working on your character...try thinking of a history and background for him while you roll. See the above suggestion. > > Is it not possible to at least eliminate the ludicrously low stat totals? > it's possible, but why bother? Part of the reason you roll stats is to see if you're willing to stick it out and put the time into having a near perfect character from the start. Be glad a lot of people have made rollers more avaiable, at least you don't have to hit 'n' for 2 hours now. And I pray in thanks for that eery day. My pointer finger was going numb. :-) > > Is it at least possible to insert an extra question for those people that want the low stats...kinda like (Do you want stats below 75 total to be available?) Then you cut your rolling time down to 30 seconds instead of 3 hours because you'll only be given decent stats to choose from. > want us to pick your names, and give you a description too? Since obviously that's a waste of time you could be killing people. Just a wee bit overboard, but I tend to agree. Who's gona say "Oh, may I puhleeze have bad stats?!?" > > In an ideal world you'd be able to say I want 18 str/18int/18wis/18dex/18con/18chr and you go right into playing, but we all know that the imms are like the dominatrix in an S&M relationship...dishing out the pain and getting their rocks off because of it :) > Getting our rocks of, eh? It is with great personal restraint I hold back the stream of profanity I'd love to spew at you. But why, I'm sure they'd be amusing. ;-) Seriously though, we know you guys work hard to keep this thing running. We just like to make suggestions from time to time.
