Why shouldn't everyone have the same? With rolling, everyone gets pretty close to the same anyway... they just have to spend an hour (or more) to do it.
Diversity is all well and good, but I would prefer a diverse range of equally good things. A one-dimensional range from crappy to excellent doesn't benefit anything.
