That could mean one of a couple things. I'll answer both.

(1) Killing a familiar does not equate to killing the conjurer unless the death of the familiar in turn kills the conjurer.

(2) If a conjurer kills someone with his familiar (which might actually take some talent given how weak they are) that should count as a PK (it does for all other servitors). If not, well, too bad. You shouldn't be trying to kill people with familiars anyway.
