As for taking on a mortal shell again, I've got a little surprise (I assume; who knows what whispers circulate through the Material Realms?) I'd like to toss into the mix before I take you up on that. Too bad that during this mass collection of information, no bard/historian/sage has bothered to figure out what certain omens and portents may be suggesting for the future...
Well, yes and no. Serafim, as a fallible mortal, has the right to believe he knows the truth about Magic/Nature whether he's right or not. I agree that it's a raunchy position to throw an applicant into, since they can only pretend to know the answer, or pretend to know what they think HE thinks the answer is, etc. Since I'm a great fan of syncrety, I'll add that this is a wonderful motivation for creating the Lyceum. Imagine a massive collection of (potentially flawed) mortal knowledge. Wow. Very groovy. The messages of the Immortals may be distorted, the histories of characters may be misrepresented, etc. but what a wonderful correlation to what happens in real life. Serafim has every right to write a little dissertation on his version of the truth about Nature/Magick and toss that into the pool as well, possibly adding further to the distortion...
