Well, first take a look at Scarabaeus' goodbye note on CF, which I believe Dioxide reposted here somewhere, especially the second paragraph. That's all true. It's unrelated to the story at hand, but it helps set the scene.

Now flash back to a few years ago, back when CW was playing those characters with goofy names we all knew and rolled our eyes over. He's more or less stalking/harrassing Scarabaeus at this time, sending him these long-ass emails every two hours begging him to share his life, etc.

Finally, the man thinks he's lost his stalker. Yay!

But no. Actually, he's still around, and now he's resorting to some pretty twisted shit (claiming to be a battered female qualifies, I think) to gain people's trust and sympathy.

Would you want to expose your family to that? Would you want to have to tolerate it?
