Firstly, I don't think there is anything wrong with Sacer wanting to and indeed playing a lich. I have heard that he is not the only Immortal involved with the lich "interview" and setting quests. Even if he was, who cares.. > Supposedly, he picked the hardest items he could come up with for Istendil's lichquest because he thought I'd go through the kinds of stuff he was sending other people out after too easily. That's anti-charity if anything. But people who know the game well will go through the lich quest without problems. Witness Hvitlok (easily one of the top ten best, in my opinion) going through his in just a few days. Nepenthe would need more than anti-charity not to finish his quest, but that's another story. > You're welcome to produce a character of yours you feel was roleplayed as well. There definitely have been characters on CF who surpassed Istendil in that respect. I just don't think you played one of them. You know as well as me that Istendil was the single most respected character ever to play CF. His role and substantial influence will never be surpassed by another, period. Call it timing, with liches being introduced and their unknown powers, call it obsession to perfection, call it downright hard work..he won't be surpassed and you know for a fact that this someone is in a far lesser league than you :P > Yes, Istendil helped Golmagus with the fighting necessary to get one item, which was in an area he (Istendil) needed to go to anyway to retrieve his chosen weapon. I really liked Golmagus. Almost all of the necromancers playing in that time had all the personality of a turnip. He was interesting, and that's ultimately why Istendil liked him, not anything I might or might not have later found out about who played him. Well, this is the only thing I am really interested in. I heard that Immortals must inform others of which mortals they are playing c.f. Aurien/Athrakagar and his deletions. > It sounds like the only thing that would really make you happy would be if none of the immortals played mortal characters, or barring that, if none of them were ever any good at the game. My urge to play mortals comes and goes (sometimes for 6+ months at a time) but I'll gladly delete the immortal or just leave entirely a long time before I give it up for good. You play CF because it's fun (if it's not, why the hell are you still here?) Ultimately that's why I'm here, too. I think 'someone' doesn't express him/herself well. I know I want all immortals to play at least one mortal at a time, not only does it make the enviroment more competitive and generally lifts the standard of roleplay, but it is a hands-on way of checking for balanace (amoung other things). I think what 'someone' means is that he feels Sacer abused his position with golmagus in one way or another (now that is not to say its true, okay?).. he agrees Sacer contributed a lot to CF, he agrees Sacer will be missed, but he is pointing out that he and several others disliked Golmagus and that golmagus brings Sacer down a tad, not much, but a tad. That's the way I read it, I could be a long way off. Anyhow, keep up your good work Nep.
