Depends on your luck and what you're fighting
You can get 3 ERADs followed by an unspeak with a lucky drum on a gnome.
Pincer does some nice damage, and the lag is nice. But it only lags your opponent for 2, and you for 3.

I'd say mace over axe. Cranial, boneshatter, drum are all nice.
