I'm glad that my post spawned a few new, constructive threads. Over the last few days, I have been reading posts and followups and, for the most part, have been quite impressed. I hope that my post and the followups had some sort of a positive impact. While this post was not meant for me, I would like to take a few moments to respond to it, if I may. > I have no interest in hearing Freedom of speech stuff posted here, if Dioxide personally were swifter to ban those who spoke negatively you would find that either I didn't mean anything about freedom of speech. This is a forum that has been implemented and maintained by Dioxide. He makes the rules as to what can/cannot be said here. Speaking negatively can have a positive impact. It depends on what you mean by negative. When you say that N is bad because of X, Y, and Z, that can be seen as negative. However, you gave reasons, examples, etc., and (hopefully) have had a positive impact. But when you say N is bad because I say so, it means nothing. >Stupid breeds stupid. It does seem that way sometimes. You say something in a thoughtful way, and someone says 'F that you retard,' or other such nonsense. I have a suggestion. Ignore them. That person is trying to push your buttons. He thinks he can make himself important if he can elicit the correct response out of you, and if you comply, he gets what he wants. And does it over again. That is the cause of most of the threads that go on and on and on... One person says that sucks, the other says no, the first says yes... And on and on. Ignore the person that says it sucks without giving examples for why it sucks. Montolio c 'locate' death Sorry, I love the word too, and needed to use it someplace.
