> The many Swords of the Saviors: > The Swords of the Saviors were created by the Gods of Light so that the angels of the heavens could better combat the demons of hell in a mighty battle that was to bring forth the Age of the Holy, or the 4th age of Thera. With the Father of Devils retreating into the deepest bowels of his hell, never to return, the Gods of Light had all of these swords and no reason to taint their angels with the duty of spreading bloodshed. Enter the paladin, holy warrior, and mortal savior of the light. It was decided that paladins would be equipped with these swords, which had the special power of releasing souls from their incarceration, no matter where they might be imprisoned. One mighty paladin stepped forth, the Chosen of Shokai, who would take the weapon into mortal lands and test its abilities on the heinous beasts of darkness. The paladin would find his newfound weapon highly intriguing as well as useful against his arch-nemesis the anti-paladin. He found that the weapon if wielded properly and with luck on his side, would cause imperfections in the outer-shell of the anti-paladins unholiest of weapons, allowing souls to seep out through the cracks. Much to his surprise, the released souls were so overjoyed that they granted him extra powers for his good deed, imbuing his sword with greater power, and presenting to him a finely crafted amulet that would dispel the presence of evil randomly during combat. The paladin knew that his was a fine weapon indeed, and that if all paladins were equipped with such a tool that the light may once again shine brightly over the land of Thera. > The Mighty Sword of the Archangel: > With all of the paladins now wielding the Swords of the Saviors it was decided that one should be chosen to lead them in their crusades. One paladin, of the many that would no doubt come to the lands at the rumor of these holy swords, would be chosen to wield the Mighty Sword of the Archangel, with the off chance that the wielder himself would become the angel that originally wielded it. Again, the Chosen paladin of Shokai was chosen to test the swords abilities. He traveled once again to the mortal lands, wielding this terrific sword. He slayed the undead with the greatest of ease, the weapon seeming to search for weaknesses in their form and striking those with unmatched accuracy. Their divine wrath was enough to make many flee in what could best be called terror, if the undead can be fearful at all. Often, the sword would blast worth with a torrent of divine prayers, levelling opposition. Evil was dispel, the undead were turned, wraths were called, in a very few instances the sword would lop the head off of the evilspawn it touched. Convinced this was the finest weapon ever crafted he spent time just gazing at it in awe. As years progressed he found himself beginning to float high above the ground for no reason at all. When he was called back to the heavens he was only just beginning to sprout wings on his back and his skin had begun to turn a brilliant silver. > Now that the story is out of the way, the idea: > Swords of the Savior-This is a weapon that a paladin of the 40th rank quests for. If successful, the paladin will be given this weapon that may only be wielded by him. It will return to him upon his death, harming any who dare pick it up when it lays on the ground. The sword has the ability to "crack" the outer-shell of the anti-paladin's unholy weapon, allowing souls to slowly seep out of that crack. This happens when the sword comes in contact with the unholy one(parry). Once the imperfection is created it will continue to grow with each additional blow.(Not every parry leads to a crack, only one here and there, usually not more than 1 per 15 rounds of combat time). Even after combat has ended and the anti-paladin has fled, the unholy weapon will continue to release its souls until the anti-paladin either transfer the souls into a different weapon, or he kills another person(the entrance of a new soul into the weapon patches the crack). When the Sword of Saviors has release 50 souls the paladin is presented with an amulet by the 50th soul. That amulet dispels evil periodically(about as much as a woven bracer). The sword is made of silver, has a divine attack, and is about average 24 or 25. The quest may only be done alone, and is of sufficient difficulty to weed out the fodder. > Mighty Sword of the Archangel-This sword is given to a hero paladin who has displayed exceptional roleplay, handpicked by a MAJORITY of the gods of light. The weapon is made of titanium, and is about average 27 or 28. It does not release souls, but it does cast turn undead, dispel evil, wrath, and is sometimes vorpal(though rarely). The wielder of this weapon slowly turns into the original wielder(an archangel). If the transformation is complete, and successful, the paladin is perma-flied, is resistant to weapon attacks, and is resistant to negative attacks. It also returns to its owner when he/she/it dies. >
