Why do not the guards in towns stop or attempt to stop fights?

Why do not the guards in towns stop or attempt to stop fights?:

I've noticed when playing if a Player is attacked by another player guards do not try to halt the fight. If it could be added that would discourage pking in town or at least add an interesting element to the game

Boo Boo. They do, if a lawful hits a choatic they beat the choatic's @$$. I think the aggressor should be attacked rather then least lawful.. Tat 15:59:05 11/26/99 (0)
