LAUGH!!!! God that is good. I can not tell you how much of an ego boost it is that you think that we even have the delusion of being Elite.

While Ithan down below has a somewhat valid point that we were kindof an anti-diku club...this is as much an understatement as saying the civil war was because of slavery.

I was the first FTA'er. I started two of the others on cf, because I figured it would be a fun way for the three of us to spend what little down time we had between the 3 weeks a month in the field. One of those got a couple more of his friends in on it.

Now I will let you in on a little secret. Fta started as a "clan" on the forum only. One of us started signing his posts with FTA, and it was cachy, so we all did it. That is the extent of FTA, a circle of about 3-5 friends who have something in common that also happen to play cf. The one time we played an asshole-pk group, we stopped because we didnt like being assholes, we liked RP.

And to clear up one final thing. None of us (except Ithan) thinks he is in any way "elite". We dont spend hours or even mins, programing our mud client to target people, We dont secretly plan on helping each other to the detriment of game balance, Hell, we each live in a different state and hardly EVER are on at the same time(those of us who still play). While we all can roleplay ad midlin to fair level, We are no Vellas or Istendils or Mizjus or Kantherion, or even Ilrath when it comes to RP. Nor are we the kind that gets its rocks off by being able to pk. Nor have any of us EVER been flagged as flagrant cheaters by the imms (to my knowledge) like the other Two mentioned.

In short, we are what you would call, amature, or hobbiest, cf-players, and I fully resent us being lumped with those two groups who have prooven themselves to be pk and power oriented.

FTA-play to have fun.
those others-play to dominate the mud in any way exploitable to make up for some sort of lack of ego.
