You buy your what-cha-ma-call-it, and you hook it up. You both go about your buisness rolling up your characters. Once you get online with your new char's, both of you write notes to the imm's explaining the situation (we live together, but both want to play.. bla bla bla). The imm's will then know the score, and they'll probably watch you a little closer to make sure there is no hanky panky going on.

Just follow the rules and you'll have no problems.
