When my empowerment character reached 5th rank i started praying. Went to his shrine every day and prayed, the time i spent there everytime varied between 30 minutes and 2 hours, and i must say even though it took ALOT of time it wasnt as hard as i have thought.

a few tips.
1. Write down your characters history, childhood and so on and then roleplay basing on what you have written down.

2. Try to choose a god that you see often in the realms

3. consider why you have choosen your religion and try to connect why with something in your chars history

4. have patience
