Doesn't mean you can't give them credit. Golmagus wasn't supposed to be liked - he was scornful of all. The overseer of the cesspool, if you will. One of the few truly interesting LE roles one could think of - and perfect for a megalomaniacal lich... who WAS different and better than the society that surrounded him. Ihlrath was a fanatic. You don't like fanatics. Even on the same side, they scare you. But for someone to carry the roll off well says something. Both of the charecters were hated - but both were deeply thought out, and every moment of their life was a statement.
