Just trust me the imm are not stupid. It is easy to verify if you cheat or not, Like one caracter is static while the other do stuff and thing like that
writing a note to imm would be a great idea , so at least they know in advance...
End of my story. My three friend and myself were sent back to teh realm and we enjoyed a great life together

suggestion: Avoid to talk to each other about what to do with your caracter and always use your caracter to talk to your girlfriend.
Do not give gear to your girlfriend unless there is IC reason for it... like do not use your hero to equip her.
In few words just play as you were not side by side.
