If the healer and shaman, were say, both memebers of Dawn, yes, Lifeshielding the shaman would be acceptable. As long as you're roleplaying events, anything's usually possible within the reasons for your role. lifeshield isn't all its cracked up to be, evertime their hit, you loose mana equal to the damage the would have taken.
