Call me crazy, but based on what you just said versus what actually happened so far as Ihlrath and his pking, I'd say you have some sort of bias against him. > Well, I saw him do a number of things that basically took away all my respect for Ihlrath as a character. It became evident that the purpose of the character was to rack up PKWins, and not to contribute to Thera. Three off the top of my head: > 1) Taking something like 4 con off a naked Iomahk in two hours, running into the warrior's bar and FDing him every time he unghosted. > 2) After force dueling Woru while wanted, and losing, coming back and force dueling him while he was grouped with me and about to enter Hell. That's pure OOC revenge. > 3) Stunning Arolin, having Amergin dispel, slow, soften, and hold him, and then force duelling him. Uhh... sure, that's honorable. Take Matriaen. Or Palan. Too obvious? Or Golmagus, who you seem to have respect for as a player, who abused being an Arbiter in two ways I can name off the top of my head: 1. attacked me with his cityguards when I wasn't wanted, and managed to talk his way out of it by saying I "threatened him by hanging around outside of a town where he'd seen a criminal five minutes earlier." 2. Attacked me outside of town with his zombies, fled, called his guards, returned to where I was fighting, still, and flagged me for "standing in the way of his hunting criminals" after he auto-ass'd. It's hard for me to see any difference between Golmagus's silly rationalizations and Ihlrath's silly rationalizations to explain their wanton pking and abuse of cabal powers. Or Matriaen's rationalizations, or .. etc down the list of the "big time pkers" that people mentioned. So, I imagine that high placement as a big-time PKer is necessarily balanced by crappy roleplaying that is sacraficed in the lust to kill as many people as possible, perhaps because it is difficult to find 269 people that you can legitimately kill for Roleplaying reasons -- and, thankfully, in conclusion, Ihlrath's crappy roleplaying doesn't detract from his wanton destruction and he deserves his place among the "big time PKers." A list that necessarily corresponds with another list titled "big time cheesy roleplayers who added little to nothing to thera for their presence."
Well, yeah. I guess there's not arguing he managed to get away with things you just can't justify except with some silly rationalization or cheesy roleplaying excuse. But the topic *was* about high-PK talley people, and I think all of the others had some cheesy RP moments they got away with, also.
