The quest has nothing to do with how good the lich is. It just depends on who your friends are. I wish I had a group that would go out and get all my items for me. Why not make a lich quest a quest that only the lich is allowed to do. Maybe he is given unquie items that no one else can know about. If someone touches this item, it will crumble and he can never lich. The lich is given certian hints at the beginning of the quest that will take him in such of other hints and so on till it leads him to the items. For example, at the beginning of the quest, the lichmaker tells the lich that there is an old mage that studies the dead in a graveyard. The lich then searches all the graveyards of Thera and finds Just my thoughts....
the guildmaster of bavoria has what he needs. He kills him and finds a scroll with writing on it. He states that in the Jade mountians there is a certian type of snake that when slain, the blood can preserve the body and give life to the dead.
He also needs to find a container that will hold such a powerful potion. The lich maker gives him some vague clues of where to look. Agains, he is lead from mob to mob...place to place in search of additional clues and such.
Maybe for the final item, he actually interacts with some mobs, that will give him hints.
Of course, the way will require alot of immortal interaction but I think it should.
I mean after you become a lich you are on of the most powerful persons in Thera. I think the immortals should test this person to his limits...and his limits only.
I do not think this player should receive the help of any of his same site friends or ICQ friends. Test the wits of the necro and his battle skills, not those of all his friends or cabalmates.
