The added dex over the first option is definitely worth it because
of better parrying and dodging. The extra 3 dam roll won't hurt
that bad especially with an assassin. The extra ac will make a
little difference, but not a whole lot. The added hit points in
low ranks makes a difference since a lot of the fights are fairly
close. With kotegaeshi, caltraps etc... those extra hp will come
in handy while you whittle down your opponent. I'd say out of all
the things being taken into consideration ac is the least important
of them for you, especially if you have your defenses trained well.
