I think people are pretty used to being spoonfed their movies. People go to this expecting "Haunting" or "Phantom Menace' effects, and they will definitely be disappointed. If you go in willing to let your imagination take over, and just take the movie at face value ("What if this was real" kind of thinking), you'll enjoy it a lot more. I've never had a movie keep me up or give me nightmares, but this one did. Call me weird, but it definitely worked on me. Creeped me out, baby. Hey wait, there is a CF tie in. I would compare this movie to CF, where I would compare "Haunting" with Everquest. If you want eyecandy and don't really want to 'think', this forget about it. On the other hand, if you have an active imagination, you'll freak out. This is elitist, maybe, but I think those with some sense of intelligence and imagination will like it, those who want everything done for 'em won't, and will think 'it's a ripoff, it only cost $30,000 to make and there ain't even any monster."
