I guess so, but keep in mind that a lot of players play from campus or some other type of 'rented' machine. And doesn't always have access to state-of-the-art machines needed to play modern rpg's. And what I gather from #cf is that alot of the player base aren't actually that much into computers, other than being a platform for entertainment. So they will have a hard time keeping up with the requirements to play topnotch new games. > For those that have been around consitently, did you notice a hit in number of players, Well I am playing EverQuest like a freak at the moment, don't know if that lasts however. But it's like watching an action-flick compared to playing CF ... RP is weak, but damn it looks good(same with action-flicks) > I will probably stop playing cf (either totally or at least limit my time on it), at the time diablo2 is installed on my machine. I will pause playing EQ when Diablo2 comes out, but I paused CF when Might & Magic 6, Tiberian Sun, DarkStone etc. came out ... you get the picture

Like when R. Jordan makes a sequel, a lot of people tend to read it, but couldn't see any effect on cf at the release. Only on #CF
