I know the first part is hokey, but in the past I've just used it to describe how the character thinks, and its motivations. The second addition is what I like. What do you think? Added Mon Jul 17 22:05:05 2000 at level 2: Would such a person be cursed or blessed?

Awakening one morn from a dreamless sleep, this felar was
shocked when he realized he had no idea who, what, or where
he was (he didn't even know that he was 'felar') a passing ranger
(in the forest where he had awoke) attempted to aid him, took him
under his tutelage, teaching the poor sap how to fend for himself
in the wild. The kindly woodsman taught taught the felar rudimentary wildcraft
and after observing the felar's keen interest he told him of the
existence of the rangers guild and sent him out to seek it as XXXXXXXXX the XXXX
