It's not easy, and it took quite a bit of time. I sort of understand why the Empire is still in shambles, it needs an Emperor willing to put the time in. I thought Havilahd would do it, but ahh well. Started as High Priest, getting my ass kicked on a regular basis by rampaging Villagers and Sylvans. Then through some interesting manuevering usurped Sevietrem to become Emperor. Still got my ass kicked on a regular basis for a little while. Filled the sect leader positions, that was huge. Induct, induct, induct, almost always someone was about to induct. Empire grows. Quinthen is happy. Empire dominates completely for a month or so. Quinthen realizes that getting there was most of the fun and heads to the heavens. I've heard many times that folks love playing the underdog... damn I do, there's nothing like it. Of course, not all that many folks can like it, otherwise there wouldn't the unbelievable imbalance we experience all the time.
