Tuehrin is a child of the revolting storm
giants of the Slave Mines of Sitran, he was a
young adult when the slave revolts started.
His group of slaves with which he fought with
was being overrun, and his parents and older
friends convinced him to flee the mines, to
live a peaceful life above the ground in Thera.
Fleeing due south from the mines, he made an
arduous trek through the mountains, meeting
with a Hillcrest caravan destined for Darsylon.
Once in Darsylon, the gnomes and the elves
tutored him, taking pity upon his wretched state.
Tuehrin gained a decent education in the art
of speaking eloquently from the elves and the
gnomes gave him the knowledge necessary to
become mostly literate. Finally, under the
advice of the elves, he traveled to Galadon.
His strong muscles that he had built in the
slave mines would doubtlessly become deadly
weapons within the guild of the warriors there.
However, Tuehrin has always felt guilty of his
fleeing from the mines when he feels he
should've stayed and fought to the death.
Consequently, he deceives others with fallacious
histories of himself, often originating from
the Western Aryth. Furthermore, the Slave
Mines are also Tuehrin's worst nightmare, being
a traumatic experience in his youth. He is
constantly afraid that agents of Udgaard are
searching for him. To evade capture, he stays
away from cities, never sets foot near or on
Udgaardian soil and is very suspicious of
such groups as Arbiters and Empire. He has
joined Troupe in order to remain neutral in all
outward affairs. He wishes to bide his time,
readying himself for the time when he shall
return to the mines for his revenge and to
overcome his fears and cowardice. Tuehrin's
travel logs are, of course, completely untrue.
Suspecting that the members of Troupe were
becoming disgruntled with his lazy demeanor,
he decided to write. Feigning illiteracy, he
wrote what he had read of the Sea of Despair
and its surrounding areas, actually only being
to the place once or twice. He created exploits
from his own mind, making them both believable
and somewhat interesting.
Talking with Laureant was a turning point in
Tuehrin's life, the beliefs of the Scarabs
coincided so perfectly with his life and his
feelings that he was overtaken by the preaching.
He ponders upon his life at this point, weighing
his options between submitting to the "Truth"
presented to him by the Scarab, or by completing
his self-made destiny by returning to Sitran.
A tall, smiling storm giant stands before you,
his tall form towering over most others in the
room. His kelp-green hair is cut shoulder-
length as to not interfere with his vision.
His barrel-like torso is extremely well-muscled
and his arms are as wide as a mature tree. A
oceanic blue face looks at you benignly,
although his mouth seems to be creased in both
the patterns of a smile and a frown.
Violet eyes sparkle almost sadly, and numerous
wrinkles seem to give him the eternal appearance
of maturity and worry. A long beard of the same
kelp-green hair obscures most of his mouth, but
you are fairly certain that it is wrinkled as well.
His clothes seem to be somewhat simple. although
they are quite mismatched, obviously that of
a seasoned adventurer, strong but humble.
You can see several scars on his exposed skin,
from what or from when you cannot tell, although
they seem quite old and they look to have been
inflicted with extreme pain.
