I spoke with Nep shortly after this note was posted, and he reminded me of a few things. Many people enter the role contests, hoping to win, to feel good about their skills at writing. By my writing roles for people, I am sorting stacking the odds, and making it an unfair playing field. I was clueless about that, I truly was. I thought what I was doing was just a helping hand, and doing something I was good at, but I can see after our talk that some people are being treated unfairly by this, and I agree. In my own defense, all roles I wrote were from ideas from the actual player, I never "invented" anyone, I just added pretty text to their ideas. So from this moment on, I will only be writing roles for myself. Cyradia, my apologies, I never thought of this from your angle, but it wont happen again. P.S. I am still gonna try and win the next role contest, but as myself. :)
