Some rhyming poetry is bad. However, some rhymeless poetry is bad as well. I believe it more of a modern style to write rhymeless, in order to get one's thoughts across (such as dub poetry, for example, or other great poets such as Ginsberg and Wesley Wilson), however, the entire style of hip-hop is based around rhyming. Other great poets have written rhyming poetry before in the past, for example, Shakespeare and Byron to name two of the poets that I have admired the most.

In my own experience, to adopt a rhyming scheme throughout is not always the best method to go about, however, sometimes it can get the point across in an elegant manner. I think it's incorrect to say that the entire style of rhymeless is bad, and I agree with you in this regard.

In order to make yourself look better in the argument, you might suggest why you disagree, instead of attacking the person that suggests a different view. To do so suggests that you have nothing better to do but attack the person rather than the argument.
