I don't remember which char it was, but I think it was Bastian who spent quite a bit of time with Tyrandil, ranking and such. Was fun, and you'll be back, give it a year or so :)

Btw, yes battle hero range is brutal, even worse now that all the people who enjoy that sort of masochism have been alienated.

> I had commited myself to having fun with Drenalian... the problem I kept running into with other characters is that I would put SO much effort into them, that it would become a chore, and not a game any more. So, I perfected parry and shieldblock, and tried for dodge, but I hadn't even gotten that perfected by the time I deleted, and didn't spend time working on another skill. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with completely different specs... I didn't like swords at all, and axes were only passingly useful. I probably would have gone with polearms or whips instead of sword, and possibly mace instead of axe. I'll post Drenalian's role and the like when I get a chance. I have to thank the imms for all the interaction, the whitecloak quest was great... although correct me if I'm wrong, but I think whoever was running it thought I'd be able to sneak in at night too. Oh well, mob deaths at hero don't matter too much, right? I had 17 con when I deleted, and I always carried a few basic pieces of +con gear for when Khartos decided to rot me and run away... he never did get the point after the first few times rot didn't work. Anyway, I certainly didn't expect to get leader with Drenalian... maybe if I'd put some effort into perfecting crap, but I'd already promised I wasn't going to waste my time doing that. I felt bad for the imms at the rites where I did get it... Firakrav with his continual hiding in the bushes, and Dorthorn with his bungled test of wits, and me that lost all the fights. Talk about a rock and a hard place... I want to see the discussion between Thror and the other ragers... "Damn, well... do we really have to have a leader?" :P I had to laugh at all the slack I got from others, especialy on IRC. At times it got hard to keep quiet, like when Talton was going on about how bad I was, and said I'd broken character when talking with him twice... I never once broke character with ANYone, except for the few times I had to explain to inductees what the command was to choose berserker/scout/defender. I seem to recall someone acusing me of roleplaying neutral also, which couldn't be more wrong.

> I pretty much figured out with this character why the popular trend for Ragers is to rank to 30-40 or so, then stop. Hero range is brutal. I'm not going to begin to gripe about what I thought was bull or whatnot, but now that I think of it, if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't take different specs, I'd take something that could hide. :P

> Anyhow, I could probably go on forever, but I'll spare you all. If anyone has any comments or whatever, feel free to post them or email me. I imagine I'll still be reading the forum on occassion. I honestly don't know how long I spent on CF... I want to say around five years though, atleast. I'm not even going to try to say goodbyes to everyone, since there's way too many. I'll post Drenalian's role when I get a chance later.
