I used a stave three times on one occasion, to heal the Golem. Miu figured that he and the 4 other masters could not study in peace if there was no guardian at the Tower, and there was a healing staff on the ground, so he decided to use it, however dirty it made him feel, he felt it was for the good of the tower.

Miu didnt use it for greed or to kill someone, he used it on one occasion for the good of the tower, and put himself on a 20 hour self imposed penance for doing so, not allowing himself to use fire or lightning spells for 20 game hours.
