> There are a good number of Sylvan kills with little roleplay reason, or, a reason that is a stretch, at best. There have been a few Sylvans who ruined the good name of the Cabal by doing nothing... and I mean nothing... but killing. And going to insane extremes to justify those kills.

Yes, I have seen and heard of these ones. Those that patrol the dwarf forest or sit at the crossroads. See below.

> The bitching about Sylvan is doubled, because, quite frankly, they have amazing PK powers. The best. Hands down. It's incredibly frustrating to run into a wall of thorns, and know your chances of survival are very, very slim. Even the most prepared player can be slaughtered by a half prepped Sylvan. Is that the Sylvans fault? Not really.

Yes, amazing PK powers, but... These powers are *greatly* limited as to where they may be used. In other words the awesome nature of the powers is counterbalanced by the limited doamin where they can be called. As to a half-prepped warder being able to tool a fully prepped non-warder, I doubt this. I have seen too many logs with mages having 1500 hps to believe this. The real problem is that people panic and spam flee when the correct response is to fight intelligently. If your strategy in dealing with warders is to flee than you aren't prepared anyway.

BTW, this almost sounds like an IMM conspiracy deal again. Warder powers have been tested and retested etc. by the immortal staff. If they were the uber-powers many folks believe they would have been toned down. Personally, I think insect swarm should only be callable in wild areas. I know it used to be callable in cites, maybe this has changed?

> For every 5 good Sylvans, there is going to be that one who sits in Dwarf Forest in the wall of thorns, waiting for a kill. Guess who most people remember?

I would put this at 15-20 good for every bad apple. As to what ppl remember, you are spot on but that does not invalidate my points. And, hehe, the people elected Dubya (couldn't resist :).

And remember the starting point of the thread was a drow master complaining about lack of RP. That's the point that is just poopy, to use Astillian's term. I would grant that they are may kills in CF simply because the party involved could indeed kill but in the case of Mhith that was not the case. That's why his commetns about lack of pack RP seem plain bogus.
