Consider this....when you attack a forest creature, you start with what command? Kill? Blackjack? All offensive attacks aimed at hurting these creatures. CF has no way of telling the difference between trying to kill and playing. Your best bet is to you emotes. The creature will not react and it will be one-sided, but you are not trying to kill the creature. Maybe you will get lucky and an immortal will react with you.
