I think the best depiction of a rager-type character that I've seen has been the Germanians in Gladiator.

Clockwork Orange is great for Entropy, though I think the rest of the playerbase uses Bozo the Clown or even Krusty the Clown as their influence.

The obvious one for Empire is Star Wars, but I think you could also take something from the Nazis and as Arcane said The Prince.

I think a great Sylvan could be made based on Jean-Jacques Rousseau's "The Social Contract and Discourses", but an aielman would make a terrific sylvan as well.

I know Polemachus used a lot of Plato for Arbiters, especially The Republic.
