It's up to you to find out what is most comfortable for you. > Snarf's page (Dioxide has a link to it) has some information regarding general character development, plus tips on a few particular classes. CF help files give some information on different aspects of roleplay. If you go to a college, there is probably a roleplaying/sci-fi club. Its members would be more than happy to include a new face into their roleplaying circle. Also, read books. Lots of books. Get ideas for characters. Many people here complain about getting ideas from books, but I figure that books have most of the great ideas in them. Steal a few ideas. It can't hurt. > Once you have your character developed, stick to it. Always think about what your character would do. If your character would stand in the face of a trolloc to give your friends a chance to word out of combat, then do it. If he would knife a party member who is tanking the trolloc, then do it. If he is illiterate, then do it. Do not be afraid to go over the top, and do not worry about what others think of your character. Because after all, it is your character. > -Montolio
