I was lucky enough to be both defender and berserker with the same char. And here are my thoughts and rantings. (long flame about defenders and improvement sugguestions):

Berserkers are diffently much more fun to play. I thought defenders would be cool to play, but I was dead wrong. Defenders are not as fun berserkers, but it's nice for a warrior to be able to heal themselves, since you can't use healers and all. But bandages can't be used in battle so you need to flee to bandage. Why not make it like assassin's bandage? I don't want to flee! I want to make the other poor blastard flee with a few deathblows, and with the help of bloodthirst and pononchos. Defenders really lack in the area of in battle skills. Here is a sugguestion on how to fix that. Allow field bandages in battle, but make the duration of the bandages made in battle last longer. So if use it in battle you have to wait longer to make another one. I've challenged a lot of people to duels, and a defender fights lasts longer than berserkers fights for obvious reasons. So lose double block and give them increases resistance. I found double block to be pretty much useless since I didn't travel in groups much. Sierothe makes lots of good points that I totally agree with all of them. It was a pain to have the whole village TELLING you to bandage them, but that's okay I'm a team player so I just spent a lot of time sleeping. Then I was told that the village is NOT about team playing, so then what's the point of being a defender? So for those of you that are deciding which to play. I diffenetly sugguest Berserkers unless changes are made to defenders.
