In Reply to: Never played one, Im neutral. what would be a good gearing strategy for me? what should I go for, HP or more mana? Or just go for AC and save vs. spell? Any help is appreciated....n/t posted by new healer on July 6, 2000 at 11:33:40:
Be sure you have sufficient hp to survive in case you get jacked/backstabed or slept and forgotten (forgeted?) or something like that, either instantaneous or where your mana does you no good. You need hitpoints to buy you time until your healing kicks in or you run. You need mana more because it'll buy you more hitpoints, given time. (There's a better than 1 to 1 ratio between hitpoints gained in a heal and mana spent on it, obviously). So once you've established a comfortable hitpoint level with gear (what that is depends on race and level, I've always liked 650 or so by 30 with my dainty little elves, but that's me) then load up the +mana gear. If you have spare trains after your stats are what they should be, spend it on mana. Definitely don't spend it on hp or.. I dunno.. mv or something. :P
