The presence of the sun is meant to be detrimental to the character, say for example if he were roleplaying a vampire and wanted to set a trigger that would make him raise his cloak over his face and hiss violently. It likely wouldn't matter if he were in combat or not, if the sun rises and he's a vampire he's going to be pissed. He might want to do the cloak raising thing and then word of recall to recuperate from such a delibitating turn of events.

I agree through, it might be better to set a macro or an alias for when the sun rises, but if it's something like I noted above it might be ok to make a trigger.

You'll have to be time watching though 'cause what happens if you're sleeping and the sun rises over your vampire?
