> Questions
> 1: You have stunned your mortal enemy in battle and he lies defenseless at your feet,
> A) Do you show compassion and allow him to recover?
> B) Do you show Valor and finish off your enemy?
> C) ....
(depends on what kind of person you are. Honor isn't being a lightwalker. Honor is being honorable. A loving person, a dawnite, would spare him, a maran would kill him at while he is weak.)

> 2: You have sworn to protect someone at all costs, yet this person commits a crime, when the authorities arrive,
> A) Do you show honesty and turn the person in question?
> B) Honor your word and lie to protect?
> C) ...
Tough one... Depends on the character. If they cherish honesty, which ISN'T a sign of goodness, then tell the truth and die with the friend, if you put faith in trust, then lie for the friend.

> 3: In furious battle a fellow knight deserts, leaving many endangered by doing so. If in his run he's surrounded by enemies, do you
> A) sacrifice yourself in order to protect him?
> B) let justice be served and let him die?
> C) ...
Depends, yet again(am I making a point yet?)

> 4: A starving and burly duergar A-P accosts you and demands your food, do you
> A) Show compassion and give him your only loaf of bread?
> B) Refuse and showing Valor engages him?
> C) ...
(referal to my answer on number 1)

> 5: When young you have pledged to marry your sweetheart whenever she wished. Now you're in a sacred quest and she calls you to your pledge, do you
> A) Honor your word, abandoning your quest to marry her?
> B) Break your word and follow your sacred mission?
> C) ...
(referall to my answer to #2)

> 6: In a battle your commander order you to guard the retreat path, yet the battle goes poorly to your comrades, do you
> A) be loyal and stand your post?
> B) help your fellows in battle?
> C) ...
Are you a soldier, or a knight?

> 7: You have sworn to obey Lord Danellaran. He covets a piece of land owned by the gnomes, do you
> A) Honor your word and evict the gnomes?
> B) refuses to act injustly and fall in disgrace with your lord?
> C) ...
Hrmm... Honesty vs. Morals... Morals are merely perspectives on different things...

> 8: You have been entrusted with an uncounted purse of gold, in your path you find a family whose house and belongings have been burned and possess nothing, nor you possess anything to give, do you
> A) Show Compassion giving them some of the gold?
> B) Be honest and return the purse to the owner, intact?
> C) ...
Well... depends if your character is above stealing. Robin Hood anyone?

> 9: You have been sent by your God to secure a needed treaty with a distant Lord. He seems to agree with the treaty yet insults your faith, do you
> A) Demand an apology, endangering the treaty?
> B) Listen quietly to his ramble.
> C) ...
Tough one. The diplomatic thing would be to just let it pass and wait for the treaty to be broken by their side. But the zealot would demand an apology..

> 10: A merchant owes your friend money, and you see the same merchant drops a purse of gold, do you
> A) Justly give your friend the due money and return what is left?
> B) Honestly return all?
> C) ...
Depends again. I'd go with C. Remind him of his debt and give him his gold. Make him feel real bad about not paying it too.

> 11: After many years you found the slayer of your friend, yet he's the only a little child can count on, do you
> A) Justly kill him?
> B) Spare him in compassion for the little child?
> C)...
Maran or Dawn?

> 12: You have been taught by your deity to cherish and nurture all life. Your friend has been fataly wound and will die soon and in pain, do you
> A) Show mercy and end his pain?
> B) Stick with your faith?
> C)...
This is a simple one, B. But then again, he's suffering, that's not nurtureing it... good question... Personally I'd go with A, but it depends on what the char is all about.

> 13: You see a young boy stealing bread, do you
> A) Show him his error and guide him in the Light?
> B) Honestly report him and allow justice take place?
> C) ...
Depends on the person...
> 14: Your God have prohibited you to fight, yet you see your friend being attacked by a group of imperials, do you
> A) Try to save your friend, entering battle to do so?
> B) Be true to your deity and let your friend die?
> C) ...
If you want to remain in favor of your diety, don't fight
> 15: And lastly but not least, what do you think is the ideal behavior of the perfect lightwalker?

And it takes a real genius to make something simple extremely difficult... so since none of that was what you were looking for...

My most recent char went like this.

1: A.
2: C. Don't answer unless asked, beat
around the bush. If directly asked,
answer honestly and fight along side
the friend.
3: B.
4: A.
5: A.
6: A.
7: A.
8: A.
9: B.
10: C. Remind him of his debt while
returning the gold.
11: A.
12: A.
13: A.
14: A.
15:

The ideal lightwalker to me is one who does things not for himself, but for others. He doesn't act to be rememebered, he doesn't act to have fame, glory, gold, fortune, wealth, happiness. He acts to better society. That is the basic idea. Whether he does so by being honest and virtuous, or by being sly, and sneaky, the method isn't what counts (chaotic goods are fun to play, so are neutral goods) It's a pet peeve of mine to see this "stereo-typical" lightwalker that everyone thinks is how it must be. It's also a pet peeve of mine to see lightwalkers in the game acting like neutrals or evils. Looting from other people's kills and not giving it back. That's selfish, unless their goals are differing, or their ideas are opposites, then you are just hindering the opponent. But that's when things get prickly. Well, I'm finished for now. Hope you enjoyed. Comments? Anyone?
