My question is do you cooperate with others in your OWN sect?

You CAN cooperate with others in your own sect. You don't have to, but then you might end up booted for not supporting the Sect.

Do you give them info without payment, help without payment, etc?

If you want, just don't go strengthening the sects enemies.

Also this scenerio came to mind: You and your sect buddy are out trapsing around, a couple a ragers come in and engage you both. You both are holding your own fairly well against the ragers but YOU know you can't beat them. You flee out...now...do you help your sect buddy? Being evil and all I'd think you'd just look out for #1. If he's too stupid to realize it too maybe he deserves to die. Or do you tell him to flee/help him out? He is a citizen. He is in your sect. Letting him die strengthens the enemy. Two schools of thought here...which is right?

This is an RP call. Do whatever your character would.
