Heh, well understand that I started a loooong time ago... Here were a few of my misconceptions: As long as I was in newbie school, I was safe from pk. Anybody was a butt-whooper with a whisper thin rapier. If I quit fast enough, I didn't really die. Red dragon eq and giant guardian eq were the best stuff you could hope for. And, last but not least... Any time an Immortal screwed/watched/punished me, it absolutely, positively, without a doubt had to be Cador. Now, I'll even be a nice guy and share other misconceptions I have had over the years. While you read these, keep in mind that these misconceptions often came while I was sleep-deprived, refusing to ask about anything for fear of looking stupid, or were just flat-out something I misunderstood. If one immortal gives you something, keep it mum 'cause another one might take it away. (This misconception led to Aleena's being deleted) Tiger claw was a skill only felar assassins could use. (this one was dispelled quickly but for that hour I was thinking, "How unfair for the other races!") Liches could see camo, hidden, and invis naturally. (Funny thing is, Istendil wasn't even around yet.) Evil Half-elves were vulnerable to mithril, not iron. Spells work every time when you practice them to 100%. Any class/race combo can be powered up enough to make it all the way through hell. Solo. (I can think of one combo that would be able to make it but since it's an impossible combo...) The Immortals know what they're doing. (HAHAHA! Just kidding) I think even experienced players (by God, I hope I am an experienced player) can suffer from misconception.
