I think it's important to remember that there actually
is a difference between the players of the game and
the game staff: the staff actually makes the decisions
on how to run the game. Not surprisingly, players
often mistake this for power-tripping or delusions of
godliness because they don't want someone else telling
them what they can and cannot do. The argument always
returns to "you're not really a god!" -- and
although this is true, it's also true that the staff
has direct power over how the game is run. It's not
a question of attitude, it's merely a fact.
