There's a bit of a difference between a student in freshman Chem trying to tell the professor that he/she is wrong after merely skimming the textbook, and something more having a Chem Professor who expects a freshman student to come in the second week of class and solve a complex problem in a unique and original way despite not having access to information which would be required, but is neither in the text nor could be reasonably assumed common knowledge, and then having that professor call the student "Stupid" or "a Fucking Moron" when the student proves unable to solve that proof.
That being said, I am not claiming that all the CF Imms are like that, or even that specific ones are in every case, but some are far, far worse than others.
But then, what do I know? I'm just a Player, and therefore "Stupid" until I somehow manage to prove otherwise.
I will also say that I have played many old-style roleplaying games (like AD&D), and if I encountered a game run by a Game Master who held the kind of attitude about his/her players that some of the CF Imms do about theirs, I'd quit in a heartbeat and never look back.
Now, why, you may ask, am I still here then? First, not *all* the Imms are like that, and I have also held out in trying to believe that the good Imms outweigh the bad, and that the contributions of every Imm both past and present gives some kind of justification for their continued existence, but as time goes on I grow increasingly disillusioned with the Immortals as a whole, and with many in particular.
The problems are still there, are not getting any better, and in some cases are actually growing worse from what I can tell.
