I'm hoping you were half nude when the nightgaunt attacked you. I've never been hit that hard by the things, even without sanc. After fighting off one of Reuschlein's frightful fiends, and when you don't see me, a nightgaunt came after me. I was pretty wore down (thank god it was a weak fiend). A few cures and a few dispel evils and he was sent back to the abyss.
