It turns out there was a tiny bug in nightgaunts that I noticed from one of the logs. A tiny difference that made them behave in a few important cases differently than they were designed to behave. It should be fixed now. In my usual vague fashion I won't be telling you what's been corrected to be in line with the design but I think you'll notice.
