No, you didn't. I said you can't take incorrect premises and arrive at truth reasoning from them (and only them). You jumped on that. Yes, the logic can be sound despite the unsoundness of its foundation. That doesn't mean what it produces has any value.
You disagreed, and thus I questioned your qualification to speak on the subject of logic.

If you want to be offended, be offended. That wasn't initially my intention, but I certainly won't lose any sleep if you are.
You stated a belief that you felt it was better to act smug and arrogant towards someone rather than just come out and tell them you have a problem with them. I disagree.
Further, in my opinion, words are just words. There aren't some of them with evil power. Probably, there is no appreciable difference between telling someone you think they're being an ass and telling them you think they're being a jerk, or whatever.
Only when you persisted in defending something you were told (civilly, you should love that) was incorrect, and why.

Whatever. I've grown bored with it. If you want to grandstand and say "Look, everyone! I was being an ass and the imm told me I was being an ass instead of smiling at me! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" knock yourself out. I don't much care, and I suspect most of the forum crowd is intelligent enough to see it for that.

I don't think you have any grounds to take shots at Braerus' intelligence. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. They especially shouldn't throw stones at houses made of sturdier materials.

I don't really think calling someone an ass is all that vulgar. I don't see much point in showing you what vulgar really is. Still, they're just words. The problem is when someone resorts to using them as a replacement for reason and real content. In my book, that would still be a step up on a poor attempt at the use of reason, because it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. Yes, it is possible to use logic poorly even if the logic itself is correct. I'm not ready to cede that it is correct, but I see no point in arguing over that.
Oh. One more thing. I still think you're being an ass with respect to this whole thread, though, I might be as well.
