As has been pointed out earlier, Agorinth dies too much, and especially before he got all the Emp powers. Agorinth plays a lot, Agorinth gangbangs a lot, Agorinth has the single best set of skills/supps/powers of any current mortal, and so yes, he kills a lot of people. Does he suck? No. Is he a bad player/roleplayer? No. Is he "elite?" No.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I made Agorinth. I do remember how bad Kah's link was. Though even the great Kah died in warders traps and would have been vulnerable to halts and fiends...
From your point of view, I may die too much, but its just a result of putting myself in situations where it is not a given that I will win. This has something to do with my characters sphere, Strength. It also has to do with my personal philosophy on the game. Namely, take chances, show some balls, and if you have chance, take it! Rating a char merely by how much they die is very shallow. There have been many very skilled players who died alot, Thror and Fortceour are two that come to mind. I know I am not as good as these two, but death in this game is not how you measure a char.
There are two classes that shamans have a tough time fighting.(My opinion) These are liches and invokers. You don't see much in the tactics I use against you, but there really is not much I can do against you. A shamans maledictions are easy to resist. For the most part, they dont work on you. On average, it takes 4 tries to blind you. Even dispel isnt too effective against you, I get maybe one or two shields per dispel. The simple fact is, when you have the orb, you should be able to spam damage spells and make me run like a bitch. I was very surprised that day I took you down, I just didnt get it. (I'm not talking about the rot.)
Give Kah a good link, and he'd basically have never died. And that was before black shroud even existed, in an era when Empire got their asses regularly kicked. Give Kah a good link and black shroud, and he'd be terrifying. Give him a good link, black shroud, and the 4 sect powers, and he'd have been up there with Istendil (of course, give Istendil the 4 sect powers, and you get a whole new level of sick-and-wrongness).
